Robert P. DelPonte, Jr., age 40, of Tewksbury, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 28, 2026.
Born in Malden, MA on November 2, 1985, he was a loving son of Robert P, Sr. and Debra A. (Cronin) DelPonte of Middleborough.
A resident of Tewksbury for most of his life, Bobby was a 2004 graduate of Tewksbury High School. He continued his studies at the University of Phoenix and UMass Lowell, receiving an associate’s degree.
He loved spending time with family and along with his parents and siblings, attended Sacred Heart Church in Tewksbury.
Bobby had a lifelong passion for automobiles and was employed at Auto Zone in Quincy. A true Mopar lover, his favorite auto manufacturer was Chrysler, and he was a proud member of the Carlisle Auto Club, winning multiple awards throughout the years. Known for his keen mechanical skills, Bobby had the ability to fix just about anything.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his cherished son Jacob Ogden DelPonte and Jacob’s mother Ally Ogdon of Londonderry, New Hampshire. He was the dear brother of Danielle DelPonte and her wife Lexie of Plymouth and Michael DelPonte and his wife Victoria of Freetown. He was the devoted uncle of Lincoln, Rory, Penelope, Feyra and Theo, and is also survived by his many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, September 4th from 10:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 17 Main Street (Route 105, at the Middleboro line) in Lakeville.
His funeral service will be held at the conclusion of visitation on Friday at 1:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home in Lakeville. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Middleborough.
