Glenda Wood Whitehead, 69, of Lenox passed away Saturday, August 29, 2026, at her residence. A private funeral service and burial will be held for Glenda at a later date.
Born February 24, 1957, in Miami, Florida, Glenda was the daughter of the late John Lewis Cullifer, Sr. and Margaret Donaldson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Wood and John Cullifer, Jr. Her career was in property management and, most recently, she managed the Regency Apartments in Tifton. She loved all her children and grandchildren and was the glue that held the family together. She was well-loved by everyone.
She had a love for nature, which included her love for butterflies and yellow roses. She loved to cook and try new recipes.
Glenda is survived by her soul mate, McKinley Whitehead, Jr. of Lenox; one daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Kenneth Allen of Lenox; two stepdaughters, Mandi McKinsey and her husband Joseph of Elizabeth City, North Carolina and Misti N. Whitehead of Valdosta; one brother, John David Inge of Texas; three sisters, Margaret Maton of Brookfield, Debbie Villarreal of Tifton and Lu Sandoval of Covington; nine grandchildren, Jordan Marie Adams, Andrew L. Edwards, Devin E. McKinsey, Kamryn A. McKinsey, Ethan A. Myers, Ava Gabrielle Myers, Iyla N. Whitehead, Jackson Allen and Kenneth Allen, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
