Worcester – Thaddeus “Ted” Zdonczyk, 74, of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, August 23, 2026.
Ted was born in Worcester, son of the late Adolph and Bronislawa (Baldowski) Zdonczyk and is also predeceased by two brothers, Chester and Richard Zdonczyk and a nephew, Richard Zdonczyk Jr.
Ted worked for many years for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the Department of Conservation and Recreation as a tree removal technician. Ted belonged to Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, he enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing.
Ted is survived by his extended family, which includes his two nieces, Rachel Beaucage and her husband, Scott of Worcester and Rebecca Zdonczyk of Worcester and a great nephew, Joshua Zdonczyk of Worcester.
The funeral for Ted will be held on, Wednesday, September 2 from the Alfred Roy & Sons – Henry Funeral Service Memorial Chapel 33 Ward St. Worcester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church 34 Ward Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 9 to 10 AM in the funeral home prior to the mass. Memorial contributions in memory of Ted may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
