
Virginia Reaves Wright 93, of Ocilla Georgia, died Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Georgia.
Funeral Service will be held at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at 4pm with the Rev. Chase Williamson, the Rev. David Fletcher and the Rev. Joey Whitley officiating. Visitation will be held an hour before the service. The interment will follow in the Waterloo Baptist Church Cemetery in Irwin County, Georgia.
Ms. Wright was born March 31, 1933, in Randolph County Alabama to the late Thomas Damon Reaves and the late Emma Vera Levens Reaves. Following the death of her mother she was raised by her stepmother Eula Spradlin Reaves Smith.
On March the 10th 1956 she married the love of her life the late William Arthur Wright. She was employed at Fitzgerald Underwear Factory, Irwin Manufacturing, and later retired from Irwin County Board of Education as a Lunchroom Lady. She taught many children in Sunday School class at Bethel Baptist Church for years and was an active member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Chula Georgia.
She is survived by her daughter Tharesa & Tony Morgan; daughter in law Deloris Wright; grandchildren: Laura Goodman, Curt & Kayla Morgan, Tonya and Keith McLaughlin, Dawn Morgan Thompson; great grandchildren: Taylor, Shawn and Christina, Chase and Mia Williamson, Gage and Sarah Lokey, John Walker Goodman, Emma Grace Thompson, Brittany and Justin Summner, and Ean Weldon; 9 great-great grandchildren; Brothers and Sisters: Betty Spradlin, Ray Reaves, Glenda Giddens, Vicky and Jimmy Branam, and Gene Reaves. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Children Terrell and Timmy Wright, Brothers and Sisters, Bud Reaves, Buck Reaves, Joe Wiggins, Gelene Spradlin.
