Our beloved mother, Eileen Marie (McDonough) Toland of Hanover, passed away on August 12, 2026.
She was born on October 2, 1947 in Boston, Massachusetts, to Daniel and Rita McDonough. Eileen devoted her life to her family, raising four children in Stoughton and building a career in real estate appraisal. She touched the lives of everyone she met though her kindness and generosity of spirit.
Eileen is survived by her children, Daniel, Jennifer, Mark, and Sean; by her grandchildren, Liam, Colin, Rhys, Lucy, and Aidan; her siblings, Geraldine, Daniel, and Patrick, and her beloved nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers, Michael and Timothy, and her sister, Kate.
A funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Roslindale on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
