
REARDON, Jeremiah – Of Medford, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2026, surrounded by his loving family in Framingham, MA. He was 95 years old.
Jeremiah was the beloved husband of the late Jean (McCarthy) Reardon, the love of his life, with whom he shared 57 years of beautiful marriage. He was predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Catharine (O'Connor) Reardon; his brothers, Patrick, John, Daniel, and William; his sisters, Catharine, Nora, and Maureen; and his cherished grandson, Ryan Reardon.
He is survived by his devoted children, Paul Reardon and his wife Norma of Groveland, Mary Reardon of Melrose, and John Reardon of Framingham, as well as his beloved grandson, Matthew Reardon of Bradford, MA. Jeremiah also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews who will miss him dearly.
Raised in Cambridge, Jeremiah graduated from Newman Prep School in 1949 and proudly served his country as a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Following his military discharge, he dedicated his career to the Registry of Deeds in Cambridge, MA, until his retirement in 1992. In their retirement, Jeremiah and Jean loved traveling, vacationing throughout New England and the greater United States, and spending time with their close church group at the Immaculate Conception Parish. Above all, they treasured family gatherings and deeply enjoyed watching their grandchildren, Matthew and Ryan.
Jeremiah will be lovingly remembered as a devoted father and grandfather who worked tirelessly alongside Jean to provide boundless opportunities for their family. He was a deeply charitable man who never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need. Gifted with a warm sense of humor, he brought joy to many and always enjoyed telling a good story.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Tuesday August 25th at 9AM followed by his Funeral Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday August 24th from 4-7 PM.
