Rudy Paul Vasquez, age 94, of Medford passed away on Sunday, August 16th, surrounded by his loving family. Born in St. Paul, MN, he was the son of the late Guadalupe and Sebastiana (Lopez) Vasquez. Rudy proudly served as a Quarter Master in the Navy during the Korean War, and after returning to civilian life worked as an electronics technician and supervisor. After marriage, he settled in Medford with his wife and raised a family.
Rudy worked at American Science & Engineering. He loved working with his hands and could repair just about anything. Rudy coached Medford Little League back in the day, and also wrote articles for the Medford Mercury. He was a great dancer and an avid reader. Rudy had a great sense of humor and told some bad jokes which only made everyone laugh. He was helpful in every way and would always problem solve. Rudy loved to travel and made so many memories with his family trips. He loved music and was an Elvis fan, and could do an Elvis impersonation that always lit up the room. Rudy was everything you could want in a father and will be sorely missed.
