Bryan Anthony Genest, 69, of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on August 7, surrounded by his loving family, following a battle with cancer.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Bryan had an insatiable curiosity with an extraordinary zest for learning and discovery. He found endless fascination in the world around him with a love for hobbies such as fishing, camping, and astronomy. But perhaps his greatest passion was sharing his knowledge and love of learning with those around him.
Professionally, Bryan worked as a business analyst at Novartis for 12 years before his retirement last year. His intelligence and analytical mind were a natural fit for a career centered around solving problems and understanding complex information.
Bryan will be deeply missed by his wife, Yelena Pariy-Genest; his daughter, Audrey Blauvelt, and her husband, Colby Blauvelt; his son, Jeffrey Genest, and his partner, Julie McLarnon; and his beloved grandchildren, Cleo and Desmond Blauvelt. He is also survived by his father, Robert Genest; his mother, Joyce McCarthy; his brother, Gary Genest; and his half-sister, Deidre Sommerkamp.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Christian Genest and Allyson Genest.
Bryan leaves behind a legacy of curiosity, knowledge, and wonder that will live on in everyone he taught and loved.
