Jeanne M Donaghey, a lifelong Medford resident, passed away peacefully in her home on August 12, 2026 at the age of 84. Daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Flammia) Tavanese and one of five children, Jeanne was predeceased by her sister Joanne Coburn (Medford) and Brother Daniel Tavanese (Medford). Jeanne is survived by her sisters Patricia O’Brien (Medford) and Marie McCarthy (Stoneham). Jeanne was a beloved mother to Karen Donaghey (Medford) and grandmother to Michael Donaghey and his wife Khadeja. (Watertown). Jeanne is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Jeanne graduated from Medford High School and went on to build her career at Western Electric, later known as AT &T in Watertown Massachusetts. She took immense pride in her work as a telephone manufacturer and cultivated many lifelong relationships there. After retirement, Jeanne spent her time with family. She became a caretaker for her disabled nephew Raymond and loved spending time with him. She also enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling, and meeting up with friends weekly for breakfast. Jeanne was an active member of the community and supported various charities.
She was a longstanding board member for a charity close to her heart, Children Are Angels from Heaven. Jeanne had an infectious spirit and could always bring a sense of humor and fun to anything she was a part of. She will be greatly missed by all those who love her.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, August 24th from 1:30 to 2:30 PM, followed by a funeral service celebrating Jeanne's life at 2:30.
