Obituary

Edward F. Maciejko, Sr. of Woburn, Ma passed away on Aug 1st 2026 at the age of 81 at Sunny Acres in Chelmsford, MA. He was predeceased by this mother and father, Joseph and Anna (Emerson) Kelley, and seven siblings. He leaves his friend, Kathy Wholey, who took care of him during his lengthy illness, his friends, Richard and Gail Wholey of NH, his two children, Edward Maciejko, Jr. of NH and Lisa Shay of Virginia, his granddaughter, Kristina, and many nieces and nephews, including Brian O’Donoghue of Woburn, MA.

Ed was raised and educated in Woburn and was a member of the 1963 class of Woburn High School. Ed worked in retailing for most of his life in various stores in the Woburn area. He also was owner and operator of E&G Hobbies. Ed loved the beauty of New England and enjoyed traveling to the White Mountains, the Lakes Region of N.H., and the coast of Maine. He developed a love of trains as a child while riding the trains to Boston with his sisters and taking a long rail trip to California. He enjoyed working on his train layouts and attending train shows and meetings at train clubs throughout the local area.
