Our family is heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mary A. Shea, 89 of Roslindale, MA who passed peacefully on August 10, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was the anchor of our lives and a constant source of unconditional love to everyone who knew her. She lived a life marked by dedication to her family, a quiet strength, and her deep faith. She taught us the true value of kindness, grace and resilience through her everyday actions. She will always be remembered for her attention to little details that were important to those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel (JM) Shea, her daughter-in-law, Debbie Shea and her parents, Michael and Margaret Lynch.
She is survived by her 8 children, who she loved very much. Daniel, Linda Danforth, Larry and his wife Marie, Gregory and his wife Bonnie, Christopher and his wife Donna, Susan, Timothy and his wife Joanne, Stephen and his wife Eileen. She was also Nana to many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visiting Hours at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury on Sunday, August 16th from 4-8pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Monday, August 17th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass at Holy Name Church at 10am. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
