Richard J. Darveau, 76, of Londonderry, NH, passed away on Wednesday August 12, 2026 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, Goffstown, NH after a period of declining health. Richard was born in Hastings, NE on December 13, 1949, a son of the late Joseph M. and Theresa (Shaughnessy) Darveau.
Rick grew up in Oklahoma and graduated from University of Oklahoma with a degree in electrical engineering. He enjoyed extensive traveling around the world with his wife Nancy. Rick was an avid reader of non-fiction books with an insatiable thirst for knowledge. He also enjoyed cooking. Rick served as a board member of the Century Village II Condominiums in Londonderry. Rick was a member of the Baha’i faith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Nancy (Duval) Darveau; a brother, Robert Darveau; four sisters, Leona Ann O’Reilly, Rochelle Cafferty, Rene Denham, and Christina Hinkle; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday August 15, 2026, at 11:00am in the Cedar Brook Burial Ground, 175 Boothby Road, Limington, ME.
