Accurzio Maniscalco, of Weymouth and formerly of Revere, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, at the age of 87.
Born in Boston’s North End in 1939 to the late Pasquale and Catherine Maniscalco, Accurzio, affectionately known as Gus to his family and friends, was a man whose presence, humor, and love for those around him left a lasting impression.
Gus was the beloved husband of the late Marie Maniscalco, the love of his life, who passed away in 1992. He was a devoted father and mentor to Michael Maniscalco and his wife, Tanya; Carla Maniscalco; and Stephanie and her husband, Rich Griffin. He was a cherished brother to Annette and her husband, Tony Rosa, of Billerica. His sister Marie and her husband, John Pagnotta, predeceased him.
Of all the roles Gus held in his life, being a grandfather brought him perhaps his greatest joy. He adored his grandchildren, Sophia, Michael, and Luke, and took tremendous pride in each of them. He cherished their time together and loved watching them grow, always taking an active and genuine interest in their lives.
Later in life, Gus found love again with his second wife, Jeannine, who predeceased him in 2023. She brought laughter and companionship into his life, and together they shared a wonderful appreciation for one another and for the simple pleasure of being together.
Gus had a true zest for life and a larger than life personality that could command a room, no matter the subject. He loved playing cards, gathering with family, telling stories, sharing a laugh, and, of course, cheering on his beloved Red Sox. He had a way of making people feel welcome and keeping them entertained, and his humor and unmistakable personality will be remembered by all who knew him.
Above all, Gus treasured his family. His greatest happiness came from having the people he loved close by, creating memories, sharing laughter, and simply enjoying life together.
Gus will be remembered for his unwavering love of family, his generous spirit, his humor, and the joy he brought into the lives of so many. His absence will be deeply felt, but the memories he created and the love he gave will remain with his family and friends forever.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, August 22nd, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, immediately followed by a remembrance service to be held in the funeral home.
Please Omit Flowers. Donations in his memory may be made to the Jimmy Fund at www.jimmyfund.org
