Annie Lee Luke, 85, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, September 23, 2006, at the Palemon Gaskin Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 25, 2006 at Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Clayton Dowd and Rev. Kimberly L. Keen officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Luke was born April 19, 1921, in Turner County, Georgia to the late Horace Oliver and Minnie Yarbrough Nix. Mrs. Luke had lived in the community most of her life. She was a homemaker and attended Christian Tabernacle.
Mrs. Luke is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: H.D. and Rachel Luke of Ocilla, 6 grand children , Rev. Kimberly L. Keen, Karen L. Culpepper, Krieg D. Luke, Marcus Peacock, Brent Peacock , Lance Luke and 11 great grand children; three sisters Margaret Dawson of Conyers, Maurice Robinson and Celestia Fuller both of Macon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Luke, son Gerald Luke, one brother, and five sisters.
