Mr. Edward F. Mitchell, 74, of Medford, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, August 10, 2026. The son of the late Francis F. and Kathrine A. (Kelley) Mitchell, he was born in Boston on September 24, 1951, and had been an area resident his entire life. Edward spent the majority of his life working for Verizon as a toll assigner, and was a member of St. Raphael Church. The widower of Susan A. (Cavanaugh) Mitchell, he is survived by his son, Ryan E. Mitchell and his wife Leslye (Guardado) Mitchell of Revere.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, August 16, 2025 from 4:00pm to 7:00 pm at Beals, Geake, and Magliozzi Funeral Home 29 Governors Ave., Medford. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 17, 2026 at 10:00 am at St. Raphael Church, burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
