Richard E. "Ricky" Sullivan, 71, of Yarmouth, Cape Cod, passed away on August 3, 2026. He was born September 3, 1954.
He was the son of the late Helen E. Sullivan and John E. Sullivan.
Ricky was predeceased by his brother, James M. "Jimmy" Sullivan; his sister, Beverly Sullivan; and his sisters-in-law, Cynthia Sullivan and Patricia Brooks.
He is fondly missed by his siblings, Christine Sullivan, John E. "Jack" Sullivan II, Robert "Bob" Sullivan, David Sullivan, Paul Sullivan, Cheryl Petrie, and Helen E. Sullivan, along with many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Ricky moved to Yarmouth many years ago and came to love Cape Cod, making it his home. He also held dear memories of time spent in Ogunquit, Maine. He was known for his style — always found in a crisply ironed button- up, sweater, and pressed pants, with never a hair out of place. He loved music, and he loved being a big brother.
Ricky and Jimmy were always close, even as young boys, so when Jimmy became sick, Ricky stayed by his side. Among his most cherished memories were the last year of Jimmy’s life, when the two of them watched old movies together and shared many laughs. His niece, Rachael Sigsbee, and her husband Carl Sigsbee, took great care of Ricky after Jimmy passed.
Ricky will be remembered for his warmth, his style, and the love he gave so freely as a brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories for all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
A Mass will be held in his memory at St. Paul’s Parish, 147 North Street, Hingham, MA 02043, on August 17th at 10:00 am
