Obituary

MILLBURY____Teddy Bomba, 84, of 1 Hemlock Drive died Friday September 22 in his home.

He leaves his wife of 60 years, Mary (Stepien) Bomba, a son, Lester Bomba and his wife Lynne of Fiskdale; a daughter Lucy of Holden; a grandson, Evan Bomba and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a sister, Halina Bomba. He was born and raised in Poland and came to Worcester in 1950. He has resided in Millbury for 35 years.

Mr. Bomba was a machinist 34 years for Pres Met Corp. and retired in 1984. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Worcester, the White Eagle Club and the Polish National Alliance.

During World War II he was a member of the Polish underground assisting Allied forces. He was taken prisoner and was held in concentration camps for 4 ½ years.

The funeral will be held on Monday September 25 with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
