
Irene Ann DelGreco, a lifelong resident of Woburn, passed away peacefully Friday, August 7, 2026, at the Care Dimensions Hospice Home in Lincoln. She was 89. Born in Woburn at the Choate Memorial Hospital, she was the only child of the late Frederick and Mary (Champa) DelGreco.
Irene grew up in North Woburn and was a graduate of Woburn High School with the class of 1954. She worked for many years as a clerk with the Bank of Boston, taking an early retirement to care for her aging mother. Irene is best known around town as a cashier at the CVS on Main Street where she later worked for a good number of years. Irene lived much of her adult life at the Place Lane Condominiums prior to moving into assisted living at Windsor Place in Wilmington. She will be greatly missed.
Irene is lovingly survived by her cousins William, Caren and Joseph Champa of Reading, and Jo-Marie, Mark, Sam, and Ted Leone of Mendon.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, Tuesday, August 11th, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St., Woburn, at 11 a.m. Services will conclude with Irene being laid to rest with her parents at Calvary Cemetery, Winchester.
