Obituary

Sandra M. Wenzell, 78, of Manchester, NH, passed away after a long illness on July 31, 2026, at Community Hospice House in Merrimack

Sandra was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Charles Wenzell Sr. and her son, William Charles Wenzell Jr. She’s lovingly remembered by her partner of 17 years Mark DiCampo; her daughters, Susan Johnston, June D’Ambrosio and her husband James and Janice Wenzell and her fiancé, Jeremy. She is also survived by her sisters, Grace Washburn and Florence Rinaldi; her sisters-in-law, Louise Wilcox and Terri Rinaldi; and was predeceased by her brothers, Paul and John Rinaldi.

Sandra was a proud grandmother to Christopher Johnston, Nathan Johnston, and his wife, Hayley, Joanna D’Ambrosio and Joseph D’Ambrosio, Jillian Long and her husband Ryan, Elizabeth Salerno, and the late Joseph Dodwell. She is also survived by 10 cherished great-grandchildren, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Sandra’s dedication extended far beyond her family. She worked for many years with Lagasse Amusement Company and later served as a crossing guard with the Manchester Police Department, where she took great pride in helping keep children safe. She was also a Ride Captain with the Patriot Guard Riders and served on the Native American Council. She also worked with Fiesta Shows Amusement, reflecting her commitment to serving her community and the causes that she held close to her heart.

Sandra will be remembered for her unwavering love, generous spirit, and dedication to both her family and her community. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. One of her favorite traditions was making homemade candy apples for Halloween, which earned the affectionate title as the “Candy Apple Queen”.

Sandra was truly devoted woman whose greatest joy in life with her family. She dedicated her life to those she loved; family was always at the center of everything she did.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Bethany Chapel Community Church, 54 Newbury road Manchester, NH. 03103.
