Buccigross, Catherine Josephine “Joie” passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, at the age of 92. She was born in 1933 and raised in Hyde Park, MA. The second of 11 children born to Katherine (Kate) and Francis Hannon. She graduated from Hyde Park High School in 1953.
Joie’s true passion was taking care of others, and her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren who called her variations of Gamma. She found pleasure in meeting their friends, bus drivers and teachers, attending soccer games, band and dance events, award banquets and high school and college graduation ceremonies.
Her one true hobby was thrift shopping for her children and grandchildren and she loved finding “treasures”.
Joie is survived by her children, Jeanne (Mike Novak) Buccigross, James (Barbara Fox) Buccigross and Lynne (Roger) Seigal. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Carlie Seigal, David (Maria) Seigal, Lianne Novak, Joseph Buccigross, John Buccigross and her newborn great-grand daughter Lilly Seigal, four siblings and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews.
Joie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
