Nga Hua, 93, of Westborough, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 2nd, surrounded by her loving family.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years, Kien Huy To, who passed away in 2022.
Nga is survived by her devoted children: Hoa To and his wife, Kiang Tran, of Worcester; Thuong To and his wife, Fong To, of New Jersey; Lan Truong and her husband, Quoc Truong, of Worcester; Hue Tat and her husband, Binh Ly, of Worcester; Binh To and his wife, Chau Chung, of Worcester; Mai To and her husband, Minh Diep, of Acton; and Jessica Lay and her husband, James Lay, of Westborough. She also leaves 16 cherished grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild expected to join the family soon.
Born in the Chenghai District of Shantou, Guangdong Province, China, Nga later made her home in Vietnam, where she and her husband owned and operated a family restaurant for more than 30 years. Together, they became known for their signature noodle dishes, lovingly prepared for their customers and family alike. In 1986, Nga immigrated to the United States, where she continued to build a life centered on family, resilience, and hard work.
Family was the heart of Nga's life. She found her greatest joy in cooking for those she loved, often preparing the signature noodle dishes that she and her husband had perfected over decades in their restaurant. To her family, those meals were more than food—they were expressions of her love, generosity, and care.
Her grandchildren will always remember the many years she spent caring for them while they were growing up. Whether through a warm meal, a comforting presence, or the countless quiet acts of kindness that defined her life, Nga poured her heart into her family every day. She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, selfless devotion, and treasured family traditions that will continue to bring comfort and inspiration to generations to come.
Family and friends are invited to honor Nga's life at O'Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 7, beginning at 4:00PM, with a temple service followed by public visitation until 8:00PM.
