Obituary

Aram Postaljian of Naples, Florida, formerly of Arlington, Massachusetts, passed away at home with his beloved family by his side on July 31, 2026 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s. Aram was born in Aleppo, Syria on August 26 and immigrated to the U.S. in 1977 where he met his wife Araxi (Chekijian) Postaljian. They were married for 47 years. Aram was a devoted father to Anita (Postaljian) Terjanian, her husband Garo, and loving grandfather of Alec Aram and Tatev Siran.

Son of the late Krikor and Vehanoush (Aynilian) Postaljian. Brother of Mary Maserejian and her late husband Krikor, the late Silva Daghistanian and her late husband Sibouh, Alice Daghistanian and her husband Manuel, Armine Frounjian and her late husband Sarkis. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Aram was the proud owner of Aram's Coffee Café in Belmont, Massachusetts, where he spent 35 years serving not only breakfast and lunch, but also friendship, kindness, and encouragement. He had an extraordinary gift for remembering every customer's name, asking about their families, and making everyone who walked through the door feel genuinely seen and welcomed. What began as a neighborhood café became a second home to many, reflecting the generosity, compassion, and warmth that defined Aram's life.

His greatest legacy was not the café he built, but the countless lives he touched through simple acts of kindness, genuine friendship, and unwavering love for others.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 11:00 am at Armenian Memorial Church, 32 Bigelow Avenue, Watertown, MA. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
