Obituary

TRESELER, Mary L. (DeChristofaro) of West Roxbury passed away on August 1, 2026. Loving mother of Paul Treseler and his wife Eileen of Millis, Richard Treseler and his wife Maureen of West Roxbury, and David Treseler and his wife Amy of Rowley. Dear sister of Joseph DeChristofaro and his wife Sandra of The Villages, FL., Eileen Lundberg and her late husband Allen of Wrentham, and Robert DeChristofaro and his wife Virginia of Walpole. Cherished grandmother of Kelly Golden and her husband David, Kevin Treseler and his wife Laura, Catherine, Michael, Bridget, Brendan, Owen and Jordan. Great grandmother of Emma, Gavin and Cameron. Mary also leaves behind several close nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday morning, August 7, 2026 at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, WEST ROXBURY from 9-10:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Theresa of Avila Church at 11am. Interment Saint Joseph Cemetery.

Mary enjoyed a long career in retail banking beginning at the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston before retiring after many years as customer service representative at The Cooperative Bank in West Roxbury and Roslindale. Mary was also as a long time Eucharistic Minister at the Brigham and Woman’s Faulkner Hospital and volunteer at the West Roxbury VA Medical Center. Mary’s family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to her extraordinary care team from Care Dimensions, including Dymphna, Chris, Joan, and Denise and especially to Mary’s personal caregiver Debbie McCormick.
