
Augustin Jean (93) of Brockton passed away on July 21, 2026, at Boston Medical Center–South. He was the beloved husband of the late Yvonne (Brevilus) Jean.
Born in Corail, Port-Margot, Haiti, he was the son of the late Clebert Jean. Augustin worked as a custom dressmaker in his native Haiti, where he was known for his craftsmanship and dedication to his trade.
Above all else, Augustin was a devoted man of God who faithfully preached His word throughout his life. He found great joy in sharing his faith and encouraging others. He also loved joking with family and friends, dancing, singing, and spending time teaching and discipling children. He will be remembered for his humility, kindness, and the respect he showed to everyone he met.
Augustin is survived by his four sons, Marcquedly Jean, Jacky Jean, Maxon Jean, and Miguel Augustin Jean; his four daughters, Germa Jean, Marcquelene Jean, Mirlande Jean, and Mirlande-Augustin Jean; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
Viewing will be held in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street, Brockton, on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl Street, Brockton.
