Frank A. DeSimone Jr., 65, of Derry, NH and Green Valley, AZ, died at home on Friday, September 22, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer. He is the son of Emily J. (D’Aloisio) DeSimone of Malden, MA and the late Frank A. DeSimone. During his 40 plus years as an ironworker, he specialized in structural steel work, and was a member of Ironworkers Union Local 7 of Boston, MA. His interests included hunting, fishing and thoroughbred racehorses.
In addition to his mother, his family includes his wife of 41 years, Catherine DeSimone of Derry; a daughter, Catherine Crosier of Vero Beach, FL; a son, Anthony DeSimone of Hampstead, NH; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Emily Crosier of Florida; three sisters, Sylvia M. Kaczor of Merrimack, NH, Beverly A. Condez of North Dartmouth, MA, Arlene E. Parsons of Vero Beach; two brothers, Thomas H. DeSimone of Malden, MA, and James R. DeSimone of Londonderry, NH. He also leaves many other family members and friends.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday, September 26th at 10:00am at St. Matthews Church, Searles Rd., Windham, NH. The Mass was followed by a reception given by the family at St. Matthews Church Hall. The family wishes flowers to be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of Manchester, 1850 Elm St., Manchester, NH 03104. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, handled the arrangements.
