
Louise G. Varga passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026 at the age of 96.
She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mabel (Jones) Restuccia and pre-deceased by her brothers George (Pinky) Restuccia and Lawrence Jr (Lank) Restuccia.She was the loving mother of Kimberly Ubele and her husband Dan, Mark Varga, Kristin LaFond and her husband Phil, grandmother to Kevin Bruce and his wife Katie, Lauren Tarpey and her husband Bill and Marsha Varga, Step Grandmother to Amy Brown and her husband Jeremy, Brian Ubele and his fiance Marrisa, Jimmy Ubele and his wife Kathy, Great Grandmother (Gigi) and Grammy Weeze to Emma, Joey, Molly, Dylan, Kenny, Bailey, Hanna, CJ and Jack. She loved spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Louise was born and raised in Malden and then moved to Wakefield where she brought up her family. She spent the last 20 years of her life at Senior Housing in Melrose where she met many friends. She also started a wonderful garden there that everyone has loved.
She loved spending time at York Beach where she had spent many (too many to count) summers with her family. York Beach had a special place in her heart as she spent her first summer there as a teenager. Louise was an amazing knitter and crocheter and she made many afghans and sweaters for friends and family. She also had a passion for gardening and had quite a green thumb. She travelled in her later years with her friend Barbara. They went to many countries in Europe and the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone and many other places in the US.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12th at 10:00am at the Trinity Church, 131 West Emerson St, Melrose, and Celebration of Life to follow at the Princeton Station, 147 Princeton St, North Chelmsford.
