James T. Smith of Westport passed away on July 21. He was a member of the 1980 Olympic biathlon team, an avid runner, cross country skier, and a Vietnam veteran. He was a kind and gentle man who helped many during his career as an investment professional followed by his second career as a reference librarian.
He is survived by his wife Dr. Robin Ann Smith and her children Kenneth Loiselle, Dana Loiselle and Josephine DeFusco. He was Grandpa Jim to Sarah, Nathaniel, Landon and Adeline Loiselle and Audrey and Isabella DeFusco.
In accordance with Jim’s wishes, funeral arrangements are private.
