Raymond J. Laliberte, 71, of Putnam Pike, Chepachet, died Saturday, July 18, 2026, at his home.
Born in Hempstead, New York, Raymond was one of ten children of the late Wallace C. and Patricia E. (Hendrickson) Laliberte.
Raymond was the husband of Leigh A. MacPhee. He was the father of his two daughters: Richelle Bard of Canterbury, Connecticut, and Jaclyn Pecarina of Lincoln, Rhode Island. He was grandfather to granddaughters: Audrey and Kaia. He is also survived by his loving Great Dane, Luna and his special boy, Sparky the cat.
Raymond worked as a Research Engineer at Boston Scientific. He had held the patent for the Liberte medical stent. Ray achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
He was an active member of the Smithfield Elks and the Greystone Social Club and love riding his Harley.
A graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held at 11am Friday, July 24, 2026, at Acote’s Hill Cemetery, Chepachet. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Great Dane Rescue of New England.
