Obituary

Alice Barbara (Clegg) Sevigny, 93, of Westford, formerly of Lowell, died peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Palm Springs Health Care Center in Chelmsford.

She was born in Lowell on September 28, 1932, a daughter of the late Thomas Clegg, a native of England, and the late Alice (Davis) Clegg. She was a graduate of high school and made her home in Florida for a time before returning to Lowell in 1979.

Over the course of her working life, Alice was employed at Wang Laboratories and in the office of Dr. Kemos for several years, and later spent many years at Countryside Veterinary Hospital, where she served as a Client Reception Specialist and greeted patients and their families with warmth and good humor.

Music was the great joy of Alice's life. She sang with the Acton Community Chorus for twenty years and delighted in performing as part of a trio. She was also a devoted member of the choir at St. John the Evangelist Church. Beyond her singing, she loved the theatre, enjoyed attending live events of all kinds, and looked forward to every opportunity to travel and vacation.

She is survived by her son, Kevin L. Sevigny of Ocklawaha, Florida; her daughter in law, Donna Sevigny of New Hampshire, wife of the late David Sevigny; her grandchildren, Kristen Boucher and her husband John of Ashburnham, Michael Sevigny, and his wife, Jennifer of Londonderry, NH; and her great grandchildren, Olivia Boucher, Ella Boucher, Caylee Sevigny and Caroline Geary. She was predeceased by her son, David Sevigny.
