Michal Grzegorz Chlus, 63, of Stoughton, Massachusetts, passed away on July 17, 2026. Michal was born on February 12, 1963, in Sokólka, Poland, to the late Teresa (Barcewicz) and Kazimierz Chlus. He proudly served for two years as a corporal in the Polish Army before beginning the next chapter of his life. In 1990, Michal and his beloved wife, Beata, immigrated from Poland to the United States in pursuit of the American dream, where they built a loving home and raised their family.
Michal worked as a dedicated machinist in the sheet metal industry for more than 30 years, earning the respect of his colleagues through his strong work ethic and craftsmanship. An avid sports fan, he rarely missed a game. He loved following European soccer and enthusiastically supported the Boston Bruins, New England Patriots, and Boston Celtics. Above all, Michal was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He loved Sunday dinners with his family, relaxing by the pool, tending to his yard, discussing world history, and spending time with his dogs. A man of deep Catholic faith, he lived with unwavering devotion and a steadfast belief in God.
Michal is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Beata (Sadkowska) Chlus; his children, Katherine (Chlus) Driscoll and her husband, Richard Driscoll, Izabella Chlus and her fiancé, Kyle Romaine, and Michael Chlus; his cherished grandson, Thomas Driscoll; and his siblings, John (Diane) Chlus, Krystyna Tolko, Wieslaw (Regina) Chlus, Marek (Krystyna) Chlus, and Krzysztof Chlus. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Tadeusz Chlus.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Casper Funeral & Cremation Services in Boston, Massachusetts. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Czestochowa Catholic Parish in Boston, Massachusetts, with burial to follow at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree, Massachusetts.
