
WORCESTER-Arhondoula C. (Vozoris) Lanides, 94, of 11 Sever Street, died Thursday, September 21st, in her home. Her husband of 48 years, William T. Lanides died in 1973. She leaves 2 sons, Spiros W. Lanides of Albany, NY, and John W. Lanides of Garden City, NY; a daughter, Helen Ganias of Worcester; a brother, Anastasi Vozoris of Athens, Greece; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A brother, Spiros Vozoris and two sisters, Persefoni Chanis and Eleni Huta, predeceased her.
Mrs. Lanides was born in North Epiros, Greece, the daughter of Konstantinos and Martha (Chipis) Vozoris and lived here many years. She was a longtime member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, the Pan Epirotic Society and the Ladies Philoptochos.
The funeral is Saturday, September 23rd, from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a service at 10:00 A.M. in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, September 22nd, from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
