Obituary

LEWISTON- Louis "Louie" H. Merrill Sr., age 65, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Lewiston.
He was born in Portland, Maine on December 27, 1960, a son of the late Donald and Annie(Jensen) Merrill Sr.

Louie was a handworker, working as a career Mover at Allen and Coles. He had many enjoyments during his life such as, sitting directly in front of the tv to watch the Patriots, Red Sox, Sci-Fi and paranormal shows, baking new recipes, listening and dancing to his favorite song "Footloose"with his friend Jason and what he enjoyed most was being with his family. Any family gathering he was there. He watched his grandchildren's graduation on his daughter’s phone. He was so proud of all his grandchildren. Louie was known for many great things such as his famous notes of writing everything down such as Christmas gifts and what shows he wanted to watch on tv. He was known as Uncle Candy man. He would give all the kids candy. He would give the shirt off his back for anyone he could.

He is predeceased by his parents- Donald Sr. and Annie(Jensen) Merrill; siblings- Baby Girl Merrill, Kevin Merrill and Richard Merrill.
Louie is survived by his children- Lynn Merrill, Louis Merrill Jr. and his fiancé Alisha and Owen Baxter and his wife Elizabeth; former spouse- Mary "Sister"; siblings- Frankie Merrill Sr, Pat Merrill, Donald Merrill Jr, Robert Merrill, Tammy Merrill, Mary Packard, Dorothy Merrill and Michael Merrill; grandchildren- Anella, Xanda, Jaden, Jordan, Caitlynn,Aubree, Lillian,Yiatt, Bella and Chloe; soon to be great-grandchild- Cadnce and many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews who will miss their Louie dearly.
