Gary Michael Fisher, 67, of Ventura, California, left this earth on June 29, 2026 on his own terms just as he led his life. Gary was born December 9, 1958 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Sondra Markim and Al Fisher. He was raised by Sondra and Al Markim in New Jersey and then moved west to build a life in better weather where he single-handedly established and maintained the successful Gary Fisher Construction business while simultaneously pursuing the many outdoor activities he loved including hiking, mountain biking, camping, and skiing. Gary is now reunited with his beloved Aussies Kudo and Rocky.
He is survived by his third Aussie rescue, Luke; his mother Sondra Markim; siblings Nancy Birks, Dan Markim, Nina McCullough and Carla Siegel, as well as 11 nieces and nephews and 13 grand nieces and nephews.
