Acushnet – Jerry M. Sounik, 40, of Acushnet died at home after a long illness on September 20, 2006.
Mr. Sounik was born in New Bedford, son of Jerry F. and Susanne Y. (Bertrand) Sounik of Acushnet, and resided in Acushnet most of his life. He was employed as a truck driver by various local freight companies until becoming disabled. He enjoyed auto racing, wrestling, model making and most of all activities with his son.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son: Justin M. Sounik of Acushnet; 2 sisters: Debra M. Sounik of Acushnet and Kathy L. Holmstrom of Fairhaven; 1 niece; and 2 nephews.
