
Raymon "Ray" Wells was born on July 15, 1979, in Statesboro, Georgia, to Raymond Alston and Ella Mae Wilcox.
He received his formal education in the Bulloch County School District and proudly graduated from Statesboro High School with the Class of 1999. He later relocated to Boston, Massachusetts, where he continued building his life and career.
From an early age, Ray discovered a passion for hairstyling that blossomed into a lifelong calling. His dedication and exceptional talent led him to become a Master Cosmetologist. Through his artistry, creativity, and genuine care for others, he touched countless lives and built lasting relationships with clients who became like family.
Ray was a loving, kind, and compassionate soul whose radiant smile, infectious laughter, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or simply his presence, Ray brought light into the lives of those around him. His legacy of love, kindness, and joy will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
Ray leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving parents, Raymond Alston and Ella Mae Wilcox; his siblings, Jonie (Shaguy) Weekley, Latarchi Alston, Joshua Washington, Jerry Alston, Shawn Alston, and Raymond Alston; his nieces, Gabrielle Wells, Damea Wells, Sakeyna Weekley, and Dequeasha Alston-Rowdy; his nephews, Rumell Weekley, Lester Callands, and Chance Goldsmith; his special cousin, Syrina Wells; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish the many memories they shared with him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tom and Adline Wells, and his uncles, Elbert Canty and Willie (Sangy) Wells.
The family sincerely thanks everyone for the outpouring of love, prayers, kindness, and support shown during this difficult time. Your compassion has been a source of strength and comfort. Please continue to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this profound loss.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Raymon’s family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Wednesday, July 15th, from 4 to 7 PM, concluding with a service at 7 PM. Additional services are planned for family and friends in Georgia, where arrangements will be handled by Hills Mortuary in Statesboro.
