
Lee W. Enos, age 74, a lifelong resident of Medford passed away peacefully, Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at his home surrounded by those he loved. Lee was the loving companion of Nancy E. (Geehan) Enos. Born in Somerville he was the son of the late George F. and Eunice (Malone) Enos.
Lee was raised and educated in Medford and was a 1971 graduate of Medford High School. Following high school, Lee enlisted into the United States Air Force that same year. He honorably served during the Vietnam War and was stationed for a period of time in Turkey and Goose Bay, Labrador, Canada. He attained the rank of Sergeant and served as a Security Specialist. Upon release from active duty, Lee attended Northeastern University on the GI bill. While attending Northeastern and following his graduation he worked in security at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington. On October 19, 1981 he was appointed as a Patrolman with the Medford Police Department and faithfully served the community of Medford until his retirement on January 31, 2017. For a short period following his retirement, Lee worked in the parts Department at Grava Jeep/Chrysler in Medford.
Lee enjoyed being at home hanging out in his yard by the pool. He loved caring for his 1965 Ford F150 plow truck and as an animal lover he enjoyed caring for his pets over the years. However, his greatest joy was his family and nothing made him happier than to be with those he loved. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to Nancy, Lee is survived by his children; Michelle Ferrer of Krum, TX, Kathleen Johnson and her husband Sean of Madison, NH, and Brian Enos and his wife Brittany of Tewksbury. He was the loving grandfather of Annabelle, Delilah, Penelope, and Nolan Ferrer, Jack and Owen Johnson, Aubrey, Kaley, Theodore, Macie, and Henry Enos. Brother of the late Loretta Chambers, George, Harry, and Robert Enos. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Tuesday, July 14th, at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with military honors and burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Lee's memory to The Officer Ronald Tarentino, Jr. Charitable Fund, P.O.
