
William “Bill” Levy, 88, was raised in Revere. The last decade he resided in the Jack Satter House and most recently The Lafayette Rehab/Skilled Nursing in Marblehead. He passed away on July 5. Bill was the loving companion of Joan Figler and former husband of Dena Goodman Levy.
Bill’s long career as a dedicated salesman was very fulfilling. He made numerous contributions to the garment sales industry including his patented brand “Come on Strong”. At age twenty, Bill became a “Big Brother” of Robert Brown and the two men kept in touch throughout Bill’s entire life. For the last decade Bill served as a Revere Constable. Bill was a Shiner, a Mason, and was a member of the Revere VFW Chapter.
Bill was the son of the late Philip Levy and the late Sarah Levy (Lewis). He was the dear brother of Dr. Roberta Levy Gantz, the late Dr. Burt (Dov) Levy and dear brother-in-law of Lisa Levy. Bill was the loving uncle of David Scott Gantz, Kimberly Levy Gantz, Elizabeth Levy, and the late Patty Levy Knickle. Bill leaves behind his beloved cousin Cylinda, his late uncle Arthur and his late cousin Billy. He was also the great uncle of Mickey, Jenny, and Emily and leaves beyond many dear friends.
A funeral service for Bill will be at Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington, Chelsea, MA on Wednesday, July 8 at 11 AM. Interment in Adath Jeshurun Cemetery, West Roxbury. Donations in Bill’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
