Raised in Medford, Kerry was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Reardon) Hickey. A life-long Medford resident, Kerry was raised in North Medford and attended St. Francis School. She went on to graduate Medford High School with the class of 1967.
Kerry was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and extraordinary aunt. She was a woman of profound and abiding faith. Her faith was nurtured at home and in her childhood parish of St. Francis. She and her beloved husband of 46 years, Kevin, were married there. Once married, they settled on Billings Ave. and began their family.
Kerry worked throughout her life. As a young girl she took her first jobs on vacation at Hampton Beach, She later worked at the Veteran’s Administration, and once she retired to Melrose, she served the local community as a crossing guard. She loved the holidays, especially Christmas and Easter, shopping trips to Boston and curling up to read a good book or watch Perry Mason. Her primary interest in life was her family. She took every opportunity to share her love with the next generations of her family. The faith she lived was dear to her and she passed it along to her children at Saint Joseph Parish in Medford. She shared it as a caregiver to generations of her family. Long recognized as a professional aunt, she was dubbed “Auntie Auntie” by Robert, Kerry Ann, Erin, Megan, Ryan, Brendan, Christopher, Samantha, Montana, as well as her numerous great nieces and nephews. She was a devoted sister and aunt to her cherished Larkin, Hobbs and Melius relatives. She looked forward to every moment she could spend with her grandchildren.
The beloved wife of Kevin Larkin, Kerry was a devoted mother to Sean Larkin and his wife Effy of Grafton and Shannon Kaulenas and her husband Joseph of Melrose. She was a loving and proud “Nana” to Jaxson, Emmalia, Caden and Charlotte. She was a dear sister to Kathleen Lucas and her husband Frank of Woburn, Brian Hickey and his wife Margaret of Salisbury, The late William Hickey and her late twin brother Kevin Hickey and his surviving wife Therese of North Andover. She also leaves her two life-long best friends, Paula Caruso and her husband John of Burlington and Libby Pike and her husband David of Mashpee.
