Obituary

Ann L. (Johnson) Fox, age 79, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her devoted children on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at the Terraces in Orleans. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert L. Fox, Sr., to whom she was wed for nearly thirty-eight years at the time of his death on May 21, 2008.

Born in Framingham, MA on December 29, 1946, she was a loving daughter of the late Arthur J., Sr. and Anna L. (Becker) Johnson.

Ann grew up in Dedham and was a 1964 graduate of Ursuline Academy. She continued her studies, graduating in 1968 with a Bachelors of Education degree from Boston State College. Following her college graduation, she taught in Dedham and Florida and prior to retiring was employed as a kindergarten aide at the Benjamin Franklin Charter School in Franklin.

A resident of Mansfield for forty-seven years, Ann’s great gifts in life were her loving family and her devout Christian Faith. She was an active member of Saint Mary’s Church in Mansfield , where she served as a Eucharistic Minister for twenty-one years, a church wedding planner for eighteen years and taught religious education. She was also a member of the Catholic Women’s Club, the St. Vincent de Paul Society and unselfishly volunteered her assistance at the Food N’ Friends Soup Kitchen in Attleboro.

As a girl growing up, Ann spent many fun-filled summers at her family’s home in Falmouth on beautiful Cape Cod. As a mother, her love for her children and grandchildren was unconditional and the memories created on family traveling trips and cruises will live on in their hearts forever. Ann also loved baking, was an avid reader and found comfort, listening to music.

She is survived by her devoted children, Robert L. Fox, Jr. and his wife Tracy of North Attleboro, Laurie A. Stuehmer and her husband Jason of Brewster and Michael C. Fox and his wife Sarah of Natick. She was the cherished and proud grandmother of Tyler, Ryan, Lily, Isabel, Sophie and Kelsey. She was the dear sister of the late Arthur J. Johnson.
