Obituary

LIMINGTON- Bonnie L. Gain, 73, passed away at home on June 21, 2026, after a long recovery from hip/leg surgery that amplified her pre-existing conditions. Her spiritual heart had longed to be reunited with her family in heaven, and on this morning her physical heart complied.
She was born in Portland on October 29,1953 the middle daughter of Violet, and Carl Gain. Before graduating from Bonny Eagle Highschool she began work. Much of her work was at Sylvania she remained there for several of the companies’ change of hands. Once her manufacturing career ended Bonnie became focused on family. She traveled some with her niece to help with her small children on a fair route through the fall season. She often had stories of this time and loved to mention to the grown version of these children some of their little person attitudes. Her memory was like a lock box and could often recall details, making her a great conversationalist. For those blessed with these conversations you also know her clucking mannerism, and eye rolling made the in-person version all the better. An avid race fan from Beach Ridge to Nascar she always had a favorite. Through the years she was a supporter, and participant of many activities with her siblings as well as their families. These activities included hunting camp trips, four wheeling, supporting her Nephew Matt’s racing, baseball side lines cheer team, and swimming pool over seeing. Bonnie was a wonderful fan of her family as if everyone was famous. This selfless attitude was not restricted to family for she also had a group of friends from early school years till the day she passed. The “Steep Falls Girls” remained dear to her heart, and she so enjoyed the outings the group of them shared throughout a lifetime.
