Nancy was the heart of our family. Known lovingly as “Ma”. She lived with a warmth, generosity, and grace that touched all who knew her. Her kindness was steady, her love unconditional, and her greatest joy was found in the simple, meaningful moments of everyday life, especially those spent with the family she cherished above all else. She found joy in life’s simple moments, always putting her family first and making everyone feel loved. Nothing brought her more happiness than watching her family grow and celebrating every milestone.
Nancy cherished the many friendships she made throughout her life. Whether through her church community, the Irish groups that brought her so much joy, or her neighbors, she built lasting relationships grounded in laughter, loyalty, faith and love. Ireland held a special place in Nancy’s heart, not only as part of her heritage, but as a source of family, memory, and belonging, especially through her deep connection to family in Donegal.
Nancy found her greatest peace at the Cape. She loved the beach, the fresh ocean air, her walks at Red River, and sitting on the swing at her beloved Cape house in East Harwich. She also loved keeping up with her family through her GrandPad, where she eagerly looked through photos and followed everyone’s adventures.
Nancy was always beautifully put together and never without her purse, filled with her favorite powder, hair comb, and lipstick. These small details reflected the elegance, care, and pride she carried with her throughout her life.
Above all, Nancy leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, family, and devotion. She will be deeply missed by her children, her sons and daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her love and memory will remain in our hearts forever.
