
Patricia "Pat" Dorothy Alger, 74, of Londonderry, NH, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026, at the High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA.
Born in Haverhill, MA, on June 25, 1951, Pat was the daughter of the late H. William, Jr. and Katherine (Boland) Flanagan. Her lifelong commitment to caring for others began at age 16, when she worked at the Hale Hospital. This early experience led to a dedicated 37-year career as an X-ray technician, where her compassion and gentle nature comforted countless patients over the decades.
While attending Northern Essex Community College, where she earned her associate’s degree in radiologic technology, Pat met her husband and best friend, Robert "Bob" Edward Alger, Jr. Together, they shared 53 years of marriage, building their home in Londonderry, NH, where they resided for 45 years. Their lives were centered around raising their family and a shared affection for their many corgis over the years.
Pat was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished time spent with her family.
In addition to her husband, Bob, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Melissa Alger of Derry NH; her daughter and son-in-law, Katelyn and James Sassano of Andover, MA; and her four granddaughters, Kai, Julia, Madelyn, and Elizabeth. She also leaves behind her siblings, Erin Wrobel of Haverhill, MA, Kathleen Hartin of Brighton, MA, and William Flanagan of Friendswood, TX, as well as many extended family members and close friends.
The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry are assisting the family with arrangements.
