Mark Roderick, a man of fierce independence and deep resilience, has passed away. Born in Carlisle, Massachusetts, to Marjorie Burton and Francis Roderick, Mark lived a life defined by hard work, an adventurous spirit, and an unwavering commitment to his own path.
For Mark, life was a journey best traveled on two wheels. A lifelong welder by trade, he was never afraid of hard work and never backed down from a challenge. He possessed a rare, steadfast strength—he was a man who always stood his ground, met adversity head-on, and never gave up. He appreciated the freedom of a nomadic lifestyle, good music, and living uniquely and authentically on his own terms.
Nowhere was Mark’s generous spirit more evident than at the L.I.H.A. in Sanbornton, New Hampshire. He dedicated much of his free time to L.I.H.A., providing security, working on countless projects, and building deep, lifetime friendships with a community he truly loved.
Though life presented its share of hardships and things were not always easy, Mark always did his absolute best to provide for those he cared about. He loved his family with a quiet, stubborn devotion. His unique ways and distinct perspective on life are part of the lasting legacy he leaves behind.
Mark is survived by his three children: Jason Roderick, Nicole Brailer and her husband Adam, and Ryan Roderick; his beloved grandson, Cole Brailer; and his brother, Steve Roderick.
A small celebration of life, bringing together close family and friends, will be planned for a later date.
