Barbara M. (Matson) Sullivan of Woburn, formerly of Arlington, and Somerville passed away on June 23, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Peter F. Sullivan. Devoted mother of Susan Rielly and her late husband Daniel of Salem, Carol Trant and her late husband Michael of Plymouth, Mark Sullivan and his wife Regina of Arlington. Dear sister of Mildred Wilks of NH. Loving grandmother of Caitlin Rielly, Michael and Joseph Trant, Kristyn Albright and her husband Samuel. Great grandmother of Jacob and Tara Albright.
Barbara was a lifetime member and instructor of the YMCA in Somerville.
She was a lifelong fitness enthusiast and shortly before her passing, was still enjoying time on an exercise bike. She loved playing cards, bingo, scattergories and visiting the casino to play the slots. Just days before her passing she enjoyed dinner and games at Encore and happily took home her winnings. She never missed watching nightly The Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.
Visiting Hours in the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury on Tuesday, June 30th from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Followed by a Service at 12:00pm in the Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
Interment St. Joseph Cemetery West Roxbury.
