
William Bradford “Brad” Thompson, 74, of Fitzgerald, died, Monday, June 22. 2026, at Tift Regional Medical Center, Tifton, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Thursday, June 25, 2026, at the Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Clayton Dowd officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the service hour at the Paulk Funeral Home.
Mr. Thompson was born September 16, 1951, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late William Earl & Thelma A. Hudson Thompson. He was a 1969 graduate of Wills High School in Smyrna, Georgia, where he met his high school sweetheart, Ann Grisby. Mr. Thompson was employed as a delivery driver with the Atlanta Beverage Company for over 30 years. He was a skilled electric guitar player and played with numerous bands in the Atlanta area. Mr. Thompson was also an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed deer hunting and collecting guns. Mr. Thompson was baptized at the First Christian Church of Marietta and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church of Douglasville, Georgia.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Ann Grigsby Thompson; a daughter, Nikki Thompson; stepchildren: Nicole Mann and Alan Mann; as well as numerous other extended family.
