George Alan Baxter March 18, 1944 – May 30, 2026
George Alan Baxter of Arlington MA (82) died on May 30, 2026, at CareOne Wilmington after a period of declining health.
George spent his career working for TRW and Ames Safety Envelope. He was known for his sarcastic sense of humor, love of Boston sports, affection for dogs, and his appreciation for a good western movie.
He was predeceased by his father, Albert Baxter; his stepfather, Herbert Horton; his mother, Marjorie Horton; and his brother, Edward Baxter.
He is survived by his son, Michael Baxter, and wife, Liz, of Medford, Massachusetts.
Burial will be private at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Arlington.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory if so inclined may be made to Minuteman Senior Services for the support they showed him in later life or MSPCA Angell in Boston.
