WEBSTER – Jeanette L. (Deterando) McGeary, 82, of Hingham, formerly of Crosby St., Webster, died Monday, Sept. 18, in Hingham after an illness. Her husband of 27 years, Edward T. “Torchy” McGeary, died in 1972.
She leaves 3 sons, Edward T. McGeary II and his wife Monique, Joel E. McGeary and his wife Maryann, all of Webster, and James “Ogie” McGeary and his wife Lynne of Foxboro; 4 daughters, Jacqueline E. Morello and her husband Jack of Wilmington, NC, Janice E. Young and her husband Sherwood of Mashpee, Judith E. Perry and her husband Dennis of Dudley, and Jean E. McGeary and her husband John Griffin of Hingham; a sister, Mary Mach and her husband Ted of Sturbridge; 17 grandchildren; a great grandson; nieces and nephews.
She was born and raised in Southbridge, a daughter of Joseph and Julia (Balzebre) Deterando, and moved to Webster when she married in 1945.
Jeanette had a lot of spirit and a great sense of humor. She cherished her children, grandchildren and great grandson.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
