Marianne Amaral, 66, of Stoughton, formerly of Avon, passed away on June 7, 2026, at Boston Medical Center–South.
Born in Boston, Marianne was the daughter of the late John M. Amaral and Claire Mudge. Throughout her life, she worked as a self-employed housekeeper and was known for her strong work ethic and caring nature.
Marianne enjoyed gambling, shopping, spending time at the beach, collecting treasured items, and was famous among family and friends for making the very best meatballs. Above all, she cherished time spent with her loved ones and was known for her generous spirit and big heart.
She is survived by her lifelong partner, William Barrett; her daughter, Crystal M. Williams and son-in-law Tony; her brother, John M. Amaral Jr.; her sisters, Nannette Heib, Cheryl Amaral, and Joanne Hickey; her 12 grandchildren, Kayla, Carly, Connie, Tyler, Alexus, Christian, Joseph, Jason, Justin, Jacob, Jaxson, and Jordan; her three great-grandchildren, Kylah, Nevaeh, and Lilianna; and many nieces and nephews, including her devoted caregiver, Selena Amaral.
She was the mother of the late Joseph M. Amaral Sr. and Nicole M. Shea, and the sister of the late Connie Amaral.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street, Brockton, on Friday, June 12, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Cremation will follow.
Marianne’s kindness, love of family, and vibrant personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
