
Jo Ann Davis Gantt, 78, of Tifton passed away at Tift Regional Medical Center on Saturday, June 6, 2026. A funeral service will be held for Ms. Gantt in the chapel of Bowen- Donaldson Home for Funerals on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kenny Kicklighter officiating. Her visitation will take place at Bowen- Donaldson on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends. Ms. Gantt will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery following the service on Monday.
Pallbearers will be Ches Mangham II, Coleman Mangham, Jason Marchant, Justin Marchant, David King, and Mike Shaw.
Ms. Gantt was born in Tift County on January 15, 1948, to the late Thearon Davis and Christine Davis Allen. Ms. Gantt had a career in real estate and brought beauty to her community as owner of Body Works Tanning and Ladies Fitness. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Chula. In addition to her parents, Ms. Gantt is preceded in death by her husband, George Gantt, one son, Roger Mangham, and one sister, Janice Davis Potts.
Her memory is cherished by two sons, Ches (Linda) Mangham, David (Sandra) Gantt; three daughters, Paula Gantt, Denise (Bill) Fuqua, and Rhonda Gantt; one daughter-in-law, Mandi Mangham; one sister, Jinny (Walt) Davis Marchant; five grandchildren, Ches (Jaycee) Mangham II, Coleman Mangham, Krysten (Chesley) Gunn, Brooke (Jack) Spanjers, and Emily (Blake) Cowart; and many great grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews.
