
Kerri Alison Gibbs, 19, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, September 18, in Tift County.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Thursday, September 21, at Central United Methodist Church, with Rev. B.J. Funk officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9, Wednesday evening, at the funeral home.
Kerri was born April 4, 1987, in Tift County, to Ira H. Gibbs and Cheryl Pippin Seagroves. She grew up in Brookfield and lived in Fitzgerald since 2000. Kerri graduated from Fitzgerald High School in 2005 and was a member of the drill team. She was a student at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, studying Information Technology. She attended Brookfield Baptist Church and Trinity United Methodist Church in Tifton.
Kerri is survived by her mother and stepfather: Cheryl & Craig Seagroves of Fitzgerald; father: Ira H. “Knocker” Gibbs of Brookfield; brother & sister-in-law: Kevin & Julie Gibbs of Tifton; niece: Lucy Gibbs of Tifton; step-sister: Laura Fowler of Fitzgerald; step-brother: Matt Seagroves of Statesboro; grandparents: O.T. & Sara Pippin of Chula, Mildred and the late Harold Gibbs of Brookfield, and Zelna and Bill Nunn of Fitzgerald.
